Put Your Faith in God's Promises

God has supplied His children with promises that can be used to overcome life's problems, difficulties, and tribulations. We receive those promises by believing them and acting on what God tells us.

In the Bible, we are shown that the Lord Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1-18). Putting your faith in Jesus, who is the Word of God made flesh, is the same as putting your faith in God, the Father, because Jesus is God.

God, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God, and they are one. (1 John 5:7). Whenever you put your faith in God's Word, you are putting your faith in God. Just as surely as you can trust the Lord Jesus to save you (Romans 10:9-13), you can trust all God's promises to be true.

Jesus is the truth (John 14:6). Therefore, whatever God tells you is the truth. Whenever you read your Bible, take what God says at face value.

Believe without a doubt that God's promises will come to pass. Rely on His promises to get you through whatever life throws your way. God's Word is Jesus, and Jesus is the truth. Jesus is God.

Unlike putting your faith in your own abilities, feelings or in mankind, putting your faith in the Son of God is always sure. You can count on God to always do what He says He will.

Through the best and hardest times, look to God's Word in faith. Believe God's promises, and you will see in your life that God's Word is true.

Redemption

Redemption is made possible by the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross. He bore all the punishment for all of your sins (1 Peter 2:24). Because Jesus paid the penalty for everyone's sins in full, believers in Him are forgiven of all their sins. Every sin a believer in Jesus will ever commit is forgiven based on that person's faith in the precious blood of Jesus.

Because of what the Lord has accomplished, forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14), being set free from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13) and from the controlling power of sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:6) are all wonderful truths about the redemption that believers in the Lord have right now.

In the future, believers will also have redeemed bodies (Romans 8:23). Believers in Jesus can look forward to their bodies being changed to conform to the Lord's body (Philippians 3:20-21, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54) and spending eternity in heaven.
